Journal of Medical Biomechanics (JMB, ISSN 1004-7220, CN 31-1624R), an open access, bimonthly, peer-reviewed journal with the aim of creating mutual understanding and cooperating among medicine, science, and engineering disciplines in China, was founded in 1986, with its original name of Journal of Biomechanics. The journal is currently sponsored by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and supervised by Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China.
As an academic periodical, JMB seeks to publish articles relating to medical biomechanics and interdisciplinary fields, including basic, applied and clinical research. Areas that are covered include but not limited to mechanobiology, musculoskeletal biomechanics, cardiovascular and respiratory biomechanics, cell and molecular biomechanics, aerospace biomechanics, dental biomechanics, rehabilitation biomechanics, hemarheology, sports biomechanics.
