2012 Sino-American Symposium on Clinical and Translational Medicine (SAS-CTM)

Co-organized by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, the U.S. National Institute of Health Clinical Center and Global MD Organization, 2012 Sino-American Symposium on Clinical and Translational Medicine (SAS-CTM) will be held on 27-29 June, 2012, in Shanghai International Convention Center.

Translational medicine is an innovated development to modern medical concept, which has already become a guiding trend of global medicine, interdisciplinary biological science, and research fund supporting. NIH, as a pioneer in the US, has made a huge investment in various translational research centers, intending to accelerate the integration of basic and clinical research, enhance the collaboration between the research institutions and pharmaceuticals, and promote the translation of the research achievement into clinical practice faster and better. Hence, translational medicine improves the medical quality, promoting the development of social health.

The symposium aims to establish a bridge between China and the US which help them to exchange ideas and collaborate on clinical and translational research; meanwhile it also built up the highest level and most influential collaboration platform for both sides. The international collaboration involved the basic research, clinical research and translation of research achievements, which attracted the researchers and professors in the interdisciplinary sciences, has been put forward. In this way, the collaborative is expanded to an unprecedented scope and the symposium has become a landmark which guides the development of the medicine research.

Both the 2010 and 2011 symposium have achieved great success. The 2012 symposium has a higher level and larger scope (about 500 attendants). The registration fee: institution and academic representative: 2500 RMB/person, enterprise: 5000 BMB/person, student: 1500 RMB/person. 25% discount will be offered for those who register before 30th April, 2012.
