Abstract:Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) has become an international hot spot due to its high incidence rate and low cure rate. The study found that the abnormal anatomy, muscle activity changes due to pain and insufficient muscle strength in patients with PFPS can cause wrong movement patterns of hip, knee and ankle joints, which will lead to the aggravation of the disease. It can be improved by exercise therapy, taping, neuromuscular training and joint orthosis. The improvement of wrong movement patterns can reduce the pain. In this paper, the movement pattern characteristics of patients with PFPS after illness and the corresponding rehabilitation treatment methods were summarized to provide reference for the rehabilitation of the disease.
