In this paper, the effects of peripheral-layer viscosity on the flow characersitics due to peristaltic transport is investigated. For a given viscosity function, mechanical parameters (such as the flux,the frictional force and the pressure drop) vary as the viscosity of the peripheral-layer fluid changes.We also investigate the effects of viscosity funtion and the peristaltic parameters of the wall on the peristaltic transport.
